Mainstream Media.....an Insult to our Intelligence

Day in day out you hear 1 Malaysia being mentioned everywhere. Does anyone really knows the meaning? Why keep on repeating the same thing then? Every language news starts with ‘Salam Satu Malaysia’ and ends on the same note I think…. Never really bothered to stay on till the end anyway.

In the media, we have tons of issues which will come with explanation after explanation which will lead us no where. Some cases which we very well know is a solid case will turn out to be no case. Some fabricated case will be made to look like that’s the most convincing case ever.

We’ll continue with our lives….
Don’t you think this is an insult to our intelligence

Crime Pays Well......

The situation in Malaysia is simple... You can be the worst criminal but as long as you have the connections and master all the loopholes you can live an easy life..

If you don't have the connections etc... and end up caught for a crime that either you committed or never committed, be ready to be linked too all similar crimes. These are the ones who will have to go through all the gruesome interrogations (the torture weapons and equipments used can really scare you). Some suspects are forced to admit crimes they never even knew. During the process you either end up charged for the crime with additional scars, internal injuries etc.... or not charged at all because you are dead. Very rare for true justice to take place in such situations.

Then comes the 60 day detention under the Emergency Ordinance. Upon expiry of the period, you’ll either be released, sent to Simpang Renggam or banished to some towns. They are two types of people who are caught under these laws. Those who simply hate it and those who simply love it. Those who hate it are those who end up detained under E.O due to fabricated proof, false petitions by individuals. Those who love it are those who can design E.O to suite them.

Let say you are a drug dealer who has been running the trade for a few years. Surely you’ll have your connections among the authorities. Paying them accordingly and every now and then you’ll give information about your competitors. You’ll become a source for a particular high ranking officer. After sometime, your business is doing extremely well and your name always crops up in the weekly meetings. You can be easily arrested with proof but you negotiate with them. You’ll surrender or be caught. Live a relaxing 60 days in the lock up with superior treatment. Then you’ll either be:
1. Sent to Simpang Renggam for a year or two and released.

2. Sent to Simpang Renggam for a year or two followed by being banished to a town of your choice for a year or two and then released

3. Banished for a year or two to a town of your choice and then released

4. Released before the 60 days period expires.

It all depends on how good your connections are, your financial status and basically the publicity you have around you…..
