The Unsung Heroes of the Nation

Yesterday marked the 60th anniversary of the birth of the great 10th Regiment of The Malayan Peoples' Liberation Army. They represent a portion of our many unsung heroes who scarified everything they had to liberate this country now known as Malaysia. They fought politically to oppose the The Federal Constitution with all their might.

On 20th October1947 all the left wing political partners staged the most successful 'Hartal' (nationwide strike). The whole nation was in standstill for that one special day to show the people opposed the 'Federal Constitution' and supported the 'People's Constitution'. When even that approach failed these true heroes started an arms struggle. They found no other ways to oppose the British and it's proxy UMNO. They lost to the great propaganda machineries of the British and their proxy UMNO which successfully labeled them as the nations worst enemy.
